Muscatine Diabetes Project

Managing All Types Together

Our purpose is to...

SUPPORT through programs & outreach activities

EMPOWER individuals to live a healthy lifestyle

ENCOURAGE individuals living with all types of diabetes

The Muscatine Diabetes Project is a grassroots effort organized on April 19, 2016 by a group of Muscatine citizens. Our mission is to provide diabetes education programs, outreach activities, support groups, and to strengthen our partnerships with other community health agencies; in addition we strive to bring awareness to diabetes research.

"There's joy in the journey as we walk alongside each other."

The Muscatine Diabetes Project is a component fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization.

We are pleased to present the PreventT2 curriculum, which is part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Sessions are designed to help participants make serious, evidence-based, lifestyle changes. It's time to take that important step forward.

Our team of lifestyle coaches has one distinct goal: moderate weight loss and increased physical activity to lower your risk of Type 2 diabetes. To help meet that goal, you'll learn more about proper nutrition, physical activity and taking charge of what's around you. Through this program, you will gain a better understanding on how behavior affects success.

Are you ready to make a lifestyle change?
